My cousin showed me a trick he uses. It was a Chinese made workbench with a 2x8 locked in the center. I couldn't find the cheap one, so I had to put up $35 at Lowes. Here is the Skil one for the same price. It's very sturdy and narrow enough that you can shoot from either side.
