I have had one for 7 years now. I deer hunt with it in thick woods. I have killed alot of deer with it very little tracking when shot with the 450. I like to use it in a tree stand and in the blind with the short barell it is easy to move around. It is a very good shooting gun I did not think a lever gun would be as accurate as it is.

I would be interested in trading my 1895GS for a .35 Whelen or .338-06 bolt or pump. I have 2 RCBS boolit moulds, RCBS dies, peep sight, Starline and Winchester brass, some loaded ammo, etc.

I have a 357 and boy its handy. If you have a heavy trigger and want to lighten it up the Wild West Trigger is the ticket. I dropped mine (only complaint with the rifle) from 8ish to 3-4lbs. the wild west trigger is the best thing ever for marlin lever actions with a little work on the hammer spring i dropped my trigger pull on my 450 to just over 2 lbs

Good gun. Mine is a keeper also. I've always been a fan of big bore lever actions.
