I used this last weekend. I took a sweet potato can (from thanksgiving) and bought a large can of sterno. When I got in my blind I lit it. Lasted about 4 hours. A little bit of smell until it was going good but then it was fine. Anyone else use this type of set-up?

Up here in Pa. and New York it sometimes gets a tad chilly.. When i am on stand i take a Dry wall bucket with lid.. cut the very center out..The little round part dead center.. Then i get one of those un-scented candles..The big one so it sits good.. light it and put top back on.. it will give you all the heat you need to stay comfortable for hours and no smell at all..have done that for years...

i have never used a sterno can before but i have used a roll of TP in a coffee can full of rubbing alcohol. The TP works as a wick and the alcohol burns clean and hot. Just don't knock it over...
