Muck... I have been using them for several yrs and I have never used hand warmer like in my other rubber boots including Lacrosse.... Hunted in the teens for more then 4 hrs at a time in MUCK cold weather hunting boots and didn't have a problem... I'm from FL so these must be good boots...

To the Muck owners....after talking to a fellow TnDeer member today I've decided to look into a pair of Mucks with the side zipper. Overall do they fit snug? Typically on a hunting boot I go 1/2 size larger just wondering how these fit.

I normally take a 9/9.5 in a normal boot pending on the width, I ordered mine in the 9/9.5 sizing and with my usual sock choice they felt a little snug.................but I had the option of removing the in-sole. After wearing them once or twice they actually stretched and fit excellent with my usual socks.

I too want to try the Muck Boots. My only concern would be if they would work well in the mountainous terrain here in East Tennessee. I have a pair of Muck shoes and my feet tend to "slide around" a bit on steep terrain. Can anyone tell me what their experiance has been with Muck Boots and mountains?

Hey DocHtr,
I hunt nearly all high peak terrain in the mountains, usually a minimum of a 2 miles hike from my truck before hunting begins. I spend 9 hrs in my Muck boots last Sunday, up and down steep inclines and I am not much of a sitter, I tend to stand on my watch. No problems at all and definately no sore feet.
The boots tend to fit snug, but don't choke your feet.

Muck boots all the way. I wear a good par of liner socks and then Red head lifetime socks and feet haven't been cold yet.
