If fortune smiles on me I will have to load deer/ a deer with one hand this year. I just loaded my 110lb daughter into the back of the truck with one hand with relative ease.

Using ATV ramps (plywood can be substituted) and a 66" tobagan (heavy duty type) and a come along. I had to stop once and reset the come along was the only issue, only have about 6' of cable on it.

Hooked a strap/rope to the back tie down points in the truck on the first pull, and then hooked the come along to a rope attached to the front tie down points for the second pull.

I don't know why the thought of loading your kid into the truck like a deer makes me laugh. \:D

Great laugh out of your comment...

Had to see if it can be done.

Neighbors probably wondered what I was doing pulling the kids around the front yard in the sled.

I always carry my ATV ramps. When and if I load a deer into the truck it's field dressed and make a bloody mess of you while trying to sling it into the bed of the truck. With the ramps I just walk it up into the bed of the truck. No mess. No fuss.

i just let the ramp down on my 4 wheeler trailer and drag it up beside the 4 wheeler. this was effortless. i used to winch it up a tree and back the truck under the deer.

Did you build that contraption your self or did you buy it somewhere?
If you did build it do you sell them?

I bought it several years ago, can't remember where I bought it from. I can try to find out for you if you like.

My brother bought one from Sears after I bought mine. Loaded a lot of deer with it and never failed me.

Never thought of taking pics and hope my neighbors didnt either...LOL. Sort of interesting what we do to ensure we make it out into the woods...Was realling looking forward to getting out hunting last year when I broke my thumb near the end of October.

the first time and the worst time i ever hurt my back was loading a deer 20 yrs. ago. I was by myself and had to drive 100 miles to get home, with a five speed. Had to crawl in the house when i finally got there. My bro-inlaw hung the deer for me but i was so young, dumb and excited that i crawled back out to the shed to have my pic taken.

I loaded a deer once with one arm, but I had to hold my draw for 18 minutes to allow the last spot to fade away... then I touched the release! \:D
