yep, it was not like 2 years ago when we got out opening day and it was 4 degrees

yep, it was not like 2 years ago when we got out opening day and it was 4 degrees
I remember that vividly, although it wasn't quite 4 where I was. Stayed out all day... brutal. Sunday was much better, but anything would have been better than that one.

Lets see, windy, check. full moon, check. 70 degrees, check. I think the weather officially sucks for hunting. But I will be out there regardless. Saw a nice buck being tagged in when I came out for lunch today so it can be done. Goodluck all.

The deer don't care what the temp is...they will still feed, move and breed.
Maybe not during peak hunting times...but they will continue their cycle.
If temps controlled the rut...Tx, Az, Nm and all of the deep south wouldn't have any deer.

I remember opening day 2008 parking the car and seeing 12 degrees on the dash...I got stage 1 hypothermia! Bought some Under Armour Cold Gear jacket that year and the guy at BPS told me all I needed was a base layer under that jacket...froze to death!

it wasnt 70 here today, felt pretty good out plenty of big deer at the check stations also
