I would consider the Muck boots but I like to tuck my pants legs down in my boots. Aren't the top of the Muck boots too small to do this?? Nope... they neoprene on top and the roll up and down over your pants... Neoprene also stretches.... One of the easiest boots to tuck your pants into... yep

It would be during mild weather, which will make your feet quiet uncomortable but if you are afraid of cold feet during December/january then you should get them.

You don't need that much insulation,if your feet are getting cold get better socks and make sure you have some wiggle room for your toes and have a small piece of carpet or newspaper to put on the metal slats of your treestand, makes a huge difference.

Have worn several different brands over the years. Seemed to always get cold feet. Tried a pair of my brother's muck boots in the snow last year and my feet never tried to get cold! Will own a pair of these Mucks in a few days!

After 6 years with my muck wetlands boots I'm ready for a new pair (of mucks). I've worn through the fabric on the heel. I put a thermal type insole on top of the regular one to snug them up a bit. I wear my browning kangaroo boots in september, then wear my mucks til mid january.

I hunted in Lacrosse rubber boots for years and they always made my feet sweat, 2 hrs after sunrise my feet would be cold. I changed to a rocky type boot, cordura, thinsulate, with gore-tex and my problems went away. I actually only use a 600 gram boot with a good wool mix sock in the winter. I can't see where anyone would need that much insulation in a boot. Most important is to have some extra room in your boot. This is what works for me.
