...netted 20 doe sightings today. A group of 4 early, group of 9 mid-morning, 5 around lunch, and 2 right at dark. This farm is not my primary hunting spot, but I've decided to spend more time hunting it this year. One reason being, this place has more buck sign than I've ever seen. A lot more sign than in years past. The only problem is I haven't seen a buck in 4 hunts on this farm. I set up a cam on one of the better looking scrapes that I plan on checking Fri. I checked several other scrapes yesterday that looked like they had all been worked sometime through the night. Based on BSK's rut signs, my rut has yet to peak. Hopefully, I'm on stand when it does!

Pretty good problem to have right now I'd say. Keep after it...he'll eventually let love make him do something stupid and maybe you'll be there!

Yodel- You mentioned "doe sink" before. I am curious. Where did you get that term and what does it mean? I have never heard it before.
BTW- when you see does in multiples like that, none of them are in heat.

I have no idea where the term came from. I've seen it used on this forum as well as others to describe an area overrun with does with very few buck sightings. On this farm, it's very, very few.

The first I had ever heard of the term was when BSK described it as such, a property where the does raised their fawns, where the food and cover was good, and they kept the bucks run out, at least until breeding season came back around.
