I hate jo jump on the bandwagon here but are you kidding me? Now we know why your username is transparentpsycho! Anyone who points a rifle at me will have the crimson trace laser glued to their chest! You obviously know not to do this becuse you said "(and I know this is not a real good move) I was watching him through my scope on the ML." I wouldnt be suprised if he knocked on your door after that display.

I can only imagine what was going thru this guys mind as you were drawing down him with a rifle.....

As far as the pins...Could it be that you are not as positive that they were in fact clipped the night before as you'd like to think you are?...you took notice of them in the dark the night before but you never noticed em in the daylight climbing the following day?...

Hey I understand completely about scoping the guy out the wrong way. The guy sat there for a good 3 or 4 minutes before I did it. AND, I know that doesn't make it right or any safer! I decided to go lite on the hunt that night so i didn't bring my binos. The guy was 300yds away so I really don't think he could have known I was looking at him anyway. I'm not discounting it though.

I didn't think that may have been the cause of it! But now being more thought out with everyone's comments, maybe it was. I can tell you that is the first and only time it has or will ever happen. Either way, me doing that doesn't make it right for him to basically do the same thing if he did it, whether he saw me or not!

I know I was wrong so please, lets not beat a dead horse! It was a stupid move, I KNOW. Everybody messes up! BTW, the ML had no ignition source in it.

When I climb my stand my hands are on the pins, today I noticed going up that they were loose but didn't think about it till going down. When I really noticed they were loose.

before this, did you already have any kind of "beef" with him???

like is he anti hunting, or something else.

what I don't get is why did he allow you to search for a lost deer and then turn into a douche by staring at you with binoculars.

Maybe it is all just a misunderstanding and you are percieving things differently than they really are. Maybe he was out looking for your deer too.

I doubt anyone would pull your pins. I bet this guy knows better than to even be on your property. I think you are reading the whole situation all wrong.

plus, I still have to give you a jab for scoping a person with your muzzleloader.

just my take

Before asking him to look for my deer, I have never seen or spoken to this guy. So no dispute!
Several days went by, so I highly doubt he was looking for the deer. From what I have been told by neighbors, the guy's a jerk, and no one else knew I even go back there till now.

And that justifies why you pointed a loaded gun at a man?

Again, justification for pointed a loaded gun at a man?

So, as long as no one catches you pointing a loaded gun at them, there won't be any problems?

No, you keep giving reasons why you pointed a loaded gun at a man.

BTW, I bet your parents never taught you how to apologize correctly. It sounds like you "almost" realize that you did a very dangerous thing, but then you feel the need to add the "let me get the last word in to make everything seem ok" clause. You should realize that you broke the primary rule of firearms.
Never point a gun at something that you don't want to destroy.

No one cares if it does, or does not, have an iginition source. No one wants a "reason" why you did it. Be a man and quit pointing guns at your neighbor. I wouldn't want you hunting next door to me if I were your neighbor either; pointing guns at people.

And I've got news for you. If you're careless enough to point guns at people, then you're careless enough to not fasten your pins too. Your neighbor didn't do it.

Well my take is that the Guy is just checking your position because of where the deer was shot. You absolutely did the right thing by asking him if you could track it but I don't understand why you asked him if he allowed hunting first?? Did he see you scoping him...probably not but lesson learned, move on. As far as your pins being unclipped, that's more than likely something you just missed.
