from being pinned down by a bunch of does for the last hour and a half of daylight and first half hour of moonlight. One came in right before dark and I couldn't tell if it was a really big doe or a small buck, but it chased one of the does over the ridge. Maybe in the morning. Tomorrow is my last day for the year. Got the meat, need some horns!

I live in Tampa and don't think I'll make it back up this year, but I got 3 trips for clearing and prepping, the opening week of archery, 2 days following a funeral in mid October and a week this time. I put 130lbs of meat in the freezer and knocked down a pair of does. I think the wife is getting frustrated handling all kid duties and dog duties for extended periods of time. Although I would love to come back, I have enjoyed my trips and am looking forward to next year starting to prep in April.
