Thats exactly the way the property that I hunt in sevierville is this season...no acorns for the third season in a row and just very little deer activity on the property...It is a small trac so they may be pretty close else where but they are just not using the trails or property at all...thats the way it goes i guess...

mine is the polar opposite for sightings. i have seen more deer this year than the last 3 years combined.

I know how you feel, last year was that way for me, hunted as hard as I have ever hunted and never even layed eyes on a deer, it was the worst year i have had since getting my place. Stay with it they will show up, but it sure is discouraging.

Even tho normally we don't usually see buck sign appear until right on the opening day of rifle season, this is still unnerving a bit. I usually see some of the early season rubs of course, but I've only seen two rubs that are from this season, and they are on spindly little maples, and on opposite ends of the property.
