From what I'm hearing, rut is peaking in Davidson, Williamson and eastern Cheatham counties. Many reports of big bucks running does through people's yards and across roads in Bellevue, Brentwood, Pasquoe and Kingston Springs the last 2 days.
Pasquoe is one SICK stretch!!!! What do you think will happen with all these does still sporting yearlings as of yesterday when I was in the woods???

I agree with BSK. I think the peak happens earlier than most realize. Here in southern Sumner County, the peak always falls between the 10-20th of November. At least it has for the last 30 years.

What is everyone hearing about Rutherford County? i believe we are in peak rut too. I have not seen any chasing though and does are bunched up.

I am still getting pics of several good bucks hitting scrapes.(as of this past weekend) Nothing during the daylight hours. No deer in the plot in the last week. Like someone else said, we have so many does that the bucks don't have to move out of the bedding areas. I am in Williamson county between Franklin and Thompson's Station. I am hoping to see some on their feet by the weekend.

This is interesting...I live in Williamson and will be hunting in Maury on the 23rd...I hope there is some movement going on as it will be my first deer hunt. I've learned a lot about deer over the past year but haven't yet learned much about the scraping...are you all saying the peak of the rut is about over and next week when gun season opens it'll be past its peak? well there's still plenty of chance to shoot a buck I'm sure...got a spot picked out on yanahli.

The good thing about the peak ending is that bucks will be on their feet more having to find, and compete for the does that are hot. I suspect that you should have a good weekend. I am seeing most of the does heading to the red oak acorns. Good Luck!
