Still have my tag in my back pocket! I guess you could say that I had the very best hunt posibble,...considering the weather, which was so hot it set 2 all time record highs for the dates at 75 and 74 degrees 2 days. Morning lows averaged around 50 degress! Our timing was perfect however with every single doe i saw all week having from 1 to as many as 7 bucks with/chasing her. I passed on I think it was about 40 2.5 and older, racked bucks, not counting all the yearlings. I did finally see 5 different shooters in the last 3 days ranging from 145 to an absolute hoss the last morning that was 165+ if he was an inch. I just had terrible luck with him and another 150 inch ten pointer both inside of 45 yards but just couldnt seal the deal with a good shot. They were wild eyed with does and they Zigged when I needed them to Zag. Oh well, thats trophy hunting I guess. I dont have the first complaint and my Dad actually shot at the biggest buck he had ever saw as well, so it was a good trip all in all. Any time you can pass up multiple P&Y class bucks I guess there is no room to whine! I will be back!!!
