Not yet but am at seeing deer this year. Only saw one from the stand last year and it was not legal. Have seen 9 so far this year but just a tad too far out to shoot with bow.

I haven't killed a deer yet but going on my first deer trip on the 23rd with a friend. went scouting today and picked a spot or two where I know there are some deer. If no decent enough bucks show up then I'll shoot a doe for the meat.

This is the worst dry spell that I can remember in years for even seeing a deer. I went Sat, up a tree 30 min before daylight, and stayed till 10:00(as long as I could stand it w/o seeing anything) and came down, then up another tree at 2:00 till dark, still nothing. Almost "lull like" out there in my neck of the woods. Waiting on Fri, taking off and then off all next week as well, it's gotta get cranked up soon.

that is the way 2008 and 2009 were for me. i saw a grand total of 7 deer in those 2 years. this year i have seen deer every time out but one. lost count.

what's the problem?
gun season hasn't even opened yet.......
gun season is always eventful for me....
work kept me out of the wooods more this past bow season more than in recent years. I've passed a few nice deer already with a MZ, and gun is not even here yet..?
what's the panic all about...?
And what would be so bad about not killing a deer? Isn't the experience enough...lol?
