I need every detail about the process to diy. I love these mounts and wanna do one myself if im lucky this year but dont know first thing. Any tricks?

I skin mine first, then boil skull only, strip meat, repeat. Soak skull only in bleach/water overnight. Use knife/pliers to remove whats left. Skull only back in bleach/water, let dry then i apply 2 coats clear glaze. Lots of ways to do it though.

There is plenty of info online on this subject matter if you do a basic search.
I did the burial process Euro mount last season on one of my bucks that I killed in January in MS. I dug a hole and I left him in the ground until after turkey season. He turned out ok. A raccoon had dug it up just a little bit and did a little gnawing on one of the antlers at some point, but not too bad.
For the expedited version (boiling etc), just plan on throwing away whatever clothes/apron you are wearing as it gets nasty. Also, don't use your high quality needle nose players -use your old, rusty ones.
I did this one time and got a little over aggressive with the wire brush and scraped up the bone some. I suggest using a copper brush for your final scrubbing.
All in all, I'll stick with the skull plates or just do the burial process. Its a lot of work and really, really nasty.

How did you get the final areas of skin tissue off without brushing? I had some really stubborn patches. Perhaps, I didn't boil him long enough?

The last two I have done I waited until spring and placed them under a 5 gal bucket. Put some weight on the top and let the bugs clean it. Only took about a week and there was nothing to remove.
Hose off and sit in peroxide then clear coat.
