How many ppl that run trail cameras have been fortunate enough to harvest an animal they have gotten numerous pics of? I was fortunate enough to acclomplish it, this season, and it feels great. Just makes the memory and story that much better.

I took a really nice one last season that I had two pictures of, with a sapling hung in his rack. When I harvested him, the sapling was gone .A neat memory!

We have several from our farm. Last year we killed 7 bucks on our proprty and had trail cam pics of every one. I'll find the pics and post em as well as ones from prior years.

Its been a few years (2005). Watched my camera flash taking this picture while I was down the field about 200 yards. Just as it got light enough to see, this buck was right under my stand and I shot him.

Almost all of our harvested bucks have been previously photographed. Since developing a standardized baited pre-hunt and non-baited hunting season camera census regime (starting 7 years ago), 96% of bucks harvested have been previously photographed.

Not as of yet, and probably won't unless I decide to shoot one of two spikes that I have pics of from earlier this season. \:\(

Yep I couldn't agree more. I love the before and after pics. I don't think Ive shot a buck in over 6 years (6 is about right, I'm looking at them on the wall) that I didn't know from either summer scouting or trail cameras. I've even got a couple I chased for 2-3 years and those are the real special ones to me.

The best buck that I have ever killed in my life, was
photographed on a trail camera on October the 20th 2008. I
killed the deer on November the 9th 2008 with a muzzle loader,
but it wasn't my photo.

The buck scored 160" and I guess word gets around. I was
approached by a fellow one day, about 2 weeks after I killed the
deer. He ask me if I was the "one" who killed the double drop
tine 12 pointer. I said yes, I did kill a deer "like" that.

He said I have a trail cam pick of your buck and he gave me a
copy of the photo. It was my buck, and the picture was taken
about 2 miles from where the deer was killed.

Small world...ain't it.

Last year when I was lucky enough to kill my 10 point, I got lots of pictures of him before! The last few I got, actually helped me harvest him. It showed me he was hot after a certain doe, and I knew just were to go find her..LOL
