I dont think there is any worse of a feeling, as when you go to raise your gun up on a bruiser 8 pointer at 25 yards and he busts you. Oh well maybe next time

Thats true Fearless....I had an old sidelock snap on me about 7 years ago on a 10 pointer that I had hunted since bow season and never got a shot, that was a pretty sick feeling to.

The only worse feeling is making a bad shot and losing him.
That's the worst of all. I would rather not get a good shooting opportunity, get busted, or make a clean miss than to mortally wound an animal and not be able to find it.
