is there anyone with information about deer season limits and maybe harvest records from way back in the 70s until now?
I think deer season opened in my county (Haywood) in the mid to late 60s....not sure though.
I think it would be very interesting (especially for the youngsters here) to see the limits and harvest records for each year since then.
For example, the first year that I hunted, I think the limit was one antlered deer. I think that was 1974. Not positive though.
Maybe there is someone here that has access to this info along with the number of licensed deer hunters during those years....
If so, please share....
i think that some of you Whipper Snappers out there have no idea just how far deer season has changed and how the sport (activity)has truly grown since the 1970s....
thanks

In the above posted picture, if anyone knows the names of the three men in the foreground in suits, I would like to know who they are.

The first deer killed in Haywood County on the harvest report I have is 1965. There were 41 reported. Anderson(49 deer), Campbell(50 deer), Monroe(3 deer), Polk(28 deer), and Union (41 deer) counties had thier first recorded harvest in 1952.
