Well I took revenge on him! After not seeing anything today I found a scrape on the way out. So I pee peed in it! Further out I saw a rub so I rubbed my boot all over it and then rubbed spit all up and down his rub!!!

I wish I owned my own land. Having to hunt WMAs and having to walk and walk and walk really STINKS!!!!!!

They (I am sure it belongs to the largest private land owner in the area who owns Millington Electric) have a gate up along the road which is on STATE property between Shelby Forest and Eagle Lake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TWRA should not allow this...it should be further up the road about a mile closer to his property!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I am sure nobody from the TWRA will read this or if they do I am sure they will somehow justify the land owner having an electric and padlocked gate on State owned property!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TWRA guys do good job but still have faults...........wonder if letter to a Senator or Represenative could get the gate moved off of State land??????????

Someday, when I have my own private Idaho, I will attribute the success I have (venison and antler wise) solely to my years spent as a WMA hunter.

Get there earlier, stay later, walk further, get closer, stay longer, more often, don't be deterred by weather and adhere to strict scent control.

I love hunting WMA's. Its like my own 7000 acre hunting paradise that I can go to any time I want. Yes its hard hunting but thats the fun in it. Like Poser said you just walk farther and hunt harder. And when you shoot that doe you can be proud of what you did. And if you can even kill a big buck you know you did something. I could afford to pay for a lease and join a club but why.But I know it can be frustrating sometimes but hang in there.

yep that gate belongs to the late babe howard of millington. He was a well respected man from millington and millington telephone was just one of the many businesses he owned locally. He also owned and DONATED all of the land that we know as eagle lake refuge. He was well known in the local and state political circles so calling the twra wont do any good, i guarantee they already know about the gate.Besides that, theres not much past the gate you cant get to by walking. Its a privately owned cabin at the end of the road that is not part of the wma.

If it's a "private cabin"- must be on private land and maybe the gate is a deeded access?

"political circles"? OH- so just roll over and give up- that's the american way
