Meaningless to me. I wouldn't want to have to pay a processor that kind of money and if I thought I had to skin and bone out three deer...I'd run screaming through the woods and try to get far enough away I couldn't find my way back.

(I just finished a run of Italian Sausage and still have 10# of summer sausage curing in the fridge that I have to mix twice more, stuff and smoke...before Saturday. Hunting is a lot more fun that skinning, cutting, trimming, curing, grinding, stuffing, etc.)

Seriously, that limit has been in place for a while and I can't see that it has had any kind of negative effect.

It is definately too much....I hunt in Unit L where it is legal. And if you actually killed half that many, in one week you would seriously effect your deer herd. On all the places I have hunted the ratio seems to be pretty good, so I can't complain with the current limit. But it just shows you that most of everybody don't try to reach that limit. But in my opinion it is way too much.

Couple things:

you'd go broke paying your processor (and it seems hardly anyone on this forum self processes) which I find amazing

secondly if you do process your own. That many would become a "job". I have the compliments of full process capability. 3 a week is all I want to be bothered with. Good grief trying to hunt at the same time and work a full time job

3 isn't too much everywhere. I have a good friend who kills 3 a day pretty routinely, and hasn't even begun to put a dent in the herd. He is hunting a large piece of land with super high deer density though.

I've had 3 opportunities to kill 3 a day in Unit L. Marshall & Maury counties. But like others have mentioned, I don't wanna fool with dressing 3 deer or processing them or paying to have 3 processed.
