Man, the wind forecast tomorrow is South all night long, until 4 am when it blows from the N and then changes back to the SE by 7 am and remains so for the rest of the day. Same forecast for all of my hunting areas within a hour radius. Even have two pret rut S/SE stands that have not been hunted yet this year.

-talk about sabotaging a morning hunt. I guess it will be another evening hunt, getting sweaty on the way to the stand.

weather.com is showing a south east wind for about the next 12 hours, it says it will switch to the north east around 1 am but by 3 am its back to a south east.

Sunday afternoon I felt the wind on the right side of my face, the left side of my face, and on the back of my neck. No real wonder I didnt see any deer that hunt.

Yep, I have only one stand site that is suitable for such a wind. Guess I'll be there if this wind persists in such a manner from the South.

I was going to take a day off this week to hunt before the orange army hits the woods...this is traditionally one of the best weeks to be in the tree here in KY.

When I saw the forecast with temps about 70 and winds out of the south...Im just going to take off one day next week. Really doesn't work for any of the trerrain features Ive found in conjunction with doe bedding areas.

Good luck when you get to go!

Exactly what I was gonna do BG, but decided to do the same thing. Instead of taking tomorrow off, it'll most likely be a day late next week. ;\)
