I am back in school, and I have a APA paper I have to do for one of my classes so if you could help me out with some responses I'd appreciate it. The topic I am going for is the feelings toward out of state hunters. some of the questions are yes and no for the most part, there are some open ended, and if you can think of anything else that might help out as far as a question, or want to elaborate on anything feel free. anything will be helpful, so with out further delay.

1. Do you hunt out of state? Y/N

2. Your experience of treatment as being an oos hunter?

3. During a 1 week hunt out of state are you more likely to lower standards on the last day? Yes/Some/Not at all

4. How do you feel about out of state hunters?

5. Do you feel that oos hunters adversely effect the sex ratios? Yes/Some/Not at all

6. Do you feel that oos hunters adversely effect the age class of bucks? ie. to many immature bucks being killed. Yes/Some/Not at all

7. Should the amount of oos tags be more limited? Yes/No

8. Should the price be raised for permits for oos hunters? (over current) Yes/No

9. Should oos hunters be required to earn a buck (kill a doe first) Yes/No

10. Would eliminating oos licenses all together improve the herd structure? Yes/Some/No

Just feel free to add anything, and not to lead you but maybe think of being a local hunter in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas ect

1. Do you hunt out of state? Y

2. Your experience of treatment as being an oos hunter? In TN I was treated with curiosity but treated well. Other states like I was intruding.

3. During a 1 week hunt out of state are you more likely to lower standards on the last day? Yes

4. How do you feel about out of state hunters? If they treat it like they are a guest in my house I have no problem..If they are slob hunters I take exception.

5. Do you feel that oos hunters adversely effect the sex ratios? No

6. Do you feel that oos hunters adversely effect the age class of bucks? ie. to many immature bucks being killed. Not at all

7. Should the amount of oos tags be more limited? No

8. Should the price be raised for permits for oos hunters? (over current) Yes

9. Should oos hunters be required to earn a buck (kill a doe first) No, the states need oos to stimulate the economy

10. Would eliminating oos licenses all together improve the herd structure? No

Just feel free to add anything, and not to lead you but maybe think of being a local hunter in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas ect...Most oos hunters spend quite a bit of money for food, gas, camp supplies...the hunting industry is money driven so I encourage it

4. How do you feel about out of state hunters? I hunted the Laurel hill hunt and hunted with some guys from Michigan and a few from Alabama. All were nice and I guess from my perspective our deer herd is healthy enough for some OOS hunters.

5. Do you feel that oos hunters adversely effect the sex ratios? Yes/Some/Not at all
Not anymore than we do our selves. Usually they are more selective, because they paid more and traveled further to hunt.

6. Do you feel that oos hunters adversely effect the age class of bucks? ie. to many immature bucks being killed. Yes/Some/Not at all Same answer to #5.

7. Should the amount of oos tags be more limited? Yes/No Not at this time.

8. Should the price be raised for permits for oos hunters? (over current) Yes/No No, I think it is ridiculous what some states charge OOS hunters. We charge $225 for all year. I think that is fair.

9. Should oos hunters be required to earn a buck (kill a doe first) Yes/No No

10. Would eliminating oos licenses all together improve the herd structure? Yes/Some/No No
