Went to pick up my processed deer today, and took a peek inside the dumpster where they toss deer parts.
Spikes and yearling buck heads everywhere. He said "it was like that all weekend".
WHY shoot a buck if you don't even care enough about it to keep the horns. Shoot a friggin doe if you just want meat! Some of these rednecks just can't wait to shoot the first thing that walks out.
They are the kind of hunter who Bs&Ms about not seeing deer, and then you walk into their house and they have a 6 point mounted above the fireplace that my 3 year old would have let walk.
Rant over. I'll hang up and listen. LOL

Everybody has the right to take whatever they want as long as it is done legally. I feel the same way you do about it but would also defend there right to do so.

they have just as much right to shoot what they want as long as its covered on there license,rednecks,come on give me a break they are shooting deer because they want to,maybe that was the only one they saw and wanted one to eat,if it aint your property get over it and let them hunt,maybe they will be fortunate enough to fill their other two buck tags which they are allowed

I didn't say they didn't have a right to do it. I said it drives me crazy (cause I know several of them, and they all suck at hunting).

Just hate looking into a dumpster seeing yearling buck heads everywhere. sounds like they were succesful to me,just because they dont have your standards doesnt mean they suck,it is an individual sport as far as standards and success, some just go through the phases of a killer to a manager faster than others,im still in the middle i hunt for big deer and does but will shoot a young buck according to cirumstance
No, trust me. They suck.
Granted, its their right to be rednecks if they want.
But as far as being hunters go, they are terrible. I kill bucks every year bigger than the biggest buck they have ever killed, and I'm nothing special.
One of the guys literally smokes on the stand... and I swear he complains more about not seeing deer than anyone I know.
I have killed small, non-mature bucks too... but I just don't understand the shoot everything that moves mentality that some people have.

I agree docpoco but I believe they do it for braggin rights. It sounds better down in the breakroom at work if they can say "I killed a buck", when asked how their weekend of hunting went.

No, I don't think so. I was as proud of that big doe I killed this weekend as any other deer that I have killed.
And here's the thing. If someone killed a 4 point or spike and was proud of it, I would be excited for them. When my brother killed him first buck, he was the happiest dude in Texas. My first buck, and hilarious little 7 point, is on a plaque in the garage.
Its when I look in a dumpster and see a bunch of decapitated yearling bucks that I feel a little disappointed.
