How much chasing is everyone seeing? I have found dozens of scrape and rubs, but we hunted all weekend and never saw any deer in an active rut mode. We saw a couple small bucks moving, but not chasing and not even showing that cruising mode.

We are not there yet, with the exception of a few ood does cycling early, and a few overexcited young bucks and hunters chomping at the bit waiting for the rut to start

Ill agree that we havent made it to the rut yet. Only saw small bucks following does and not really chasing them. My prediction is that the rut will be in full swing by the opening weekend of rifle season.

Still seeing younguns with their momma. Have seen a couple of
1.5 bucks out for a morning stroll, but that is normal for this
date in my area of Maury County.

I was just confused. We killed our best deer out cruising this time last year. Now we aren't seeing jack. I expect the full moon comin next weekend will put the rut in full swing.
Thanks for y'all's help.
Don't worry though. I'm going this weekend.
