Took an Estrous Buck Bomb with me this weekend up in the stand. Sat for a few hours with a few bursts every hour. A nice buck came in with his lip curled taking in the scent. He hung around for a while circling my stand until he realized there was not a doe in sight. All the other deer were moving up he ridge behind me but this guy came right to my stand.

On my way out the door to buy a can right now.... NOT. You better hope you didn't just ruin that stand's productivity for the season. Depending on the pressure and what others are doing around you, that could be the case.

I have never used the Buck Bomb. The reason is that my friends that have used it have reported to me that it scares off most of the deer that come near it. Could it be that the deer that were moving away from you up the ridge were actually running away from the buck bomb?

Its too strong and too obvious. If you spray a lot of it, then it smells like you have a herd of does bedding there and all in estros, except that's not the case.
Guys, this is very, very popular product. Your neighbors are using it for miles around you. It may attract some curiosity the 1st time you use it, but after that, your chances go down hill quick. Its not worth the risk of ruining your rut stands. Give me $12 dollars and I'll take a 12 pack of High Life and $2 change any day of the week over a can of Buck Bomb.

I wish I had the money spent year in and year out on "attractant scents" for deer hunting. Some work sometime and most do not work anytime. I personally think spending money on deer scent and attractants is one of the worst things you could spend your hunting funds on.

I feel the same way.I've not bought any deer scents in a few years, and it has not hampered my success any..Its insane the amount of "deer pee" people buy..

I don't think button bucks are attracted to doe pee anyway.

I'm giving up on attractant scents. This is the first year I haven't used any, so I will see how it goes and if my theory is right. I will still use a grunt call, and a can, but no more scents. Busted too many times over the years by smart does.
There are too many smart does, and not enough curious bucks in the woods.
