I know there are seemingly a ton of threads about this, but I still can't find anything definative.

Here in West Tennessee (Jackson) and/or Benton County (Camden), when can we expect the rut to hit its 10-14 day peak?

I am planning some vacation which will be fine tuned according to the weather, but I am trying to get a general idea.

And I guess what I'm really asking is, when do we normally expect the most active hunting periods.

Right in the middle. A few miles outside of Camden. Its where I killed that fantastic 2.5 YO 8 point last year.

I've always focused on the 2 week period (week before and week after) of the full moon nearest Thanksgiving.
This time frame has been vary productive for me in the past.

north or south, usually between now and thanksgiving, although this warm front may slow things down a bit.
