Deer are CRAZY!
Sunday morning when I killed that Doe, deer went everywhere (including some I hadn't seen).
3 of them ended up in front of my stand while I was reloading and could have easily been downed.
Then when I found the deer I killed, and started dragging her out, 4 more walked right out into the open while I'm talking on a CELL PHONE! They didn't even run off. I could have shot them too.
You just never know.

When I took the 8 pointer I took back on New Year's day this past season, I had a 3 pointer walk up to the same spot I had just shot the 8 pointer 10 minutes earlier. I have to agree that all the walking around and scent spreading alerts the deer more than gun shots. That just pushes them to being noctournal.
