Here are a couple of questions to ponder while you are in the stand:
1. Why come is it that when you are in the stand a squirrel sounds like he weighs 200 pounds and a deer sounds like he weighs 2 ?
2. Why come is it that during bow season all the bucks were just outside bow range, but in muzzleloader range, but when muzzleloader season opened they moved out of muzzleloader range?
3. Who is responsible for letting the deer know its muzzleloader season and make them change their routine?

I'll give you a answer to #3. It can have a lot to do with the pre ML scouting. Deer don't differentiate between scouting pressure and hunting pressure.

Why come it is that big buck always stops with a tree between him and you? Seems to mathematically impossible for it to happen solely by chance.

Why is it when I walk from my stand to my house after deer hunting squirrels will sit there.. look at you and bark like crazy, as soon as I get home I grab my 22 and trace my steps back.. and dont see a dang one..

Why is it when I am bowhunting for meat does seem to always be on edge and skirt around your stand but when your hunting with a mz and looking for big bucks the does seem to not have a care in the world and will feed at 10 yards broadside for half the morning.

I hear you on #1 it is too funny how squirrels sound big and deer can sneak right in on you, when there just feeding or passing through.
On # 2 i have had a different experience where deer stay out of bow range during bow, but come in bow range during ML  .
Why is it i always notice a 100 squirrels when i am in the stand, but the when i go to the same area ans sit below a tree they will not come out like they do whin on the stand?
