Then I looked at my hunting log........so far this season I've seen 14 bucks and 57 does. Now I didn't necessarily have a shot at all those deer, but the opportunity has been there. Ain't wanted to fool with a doe yet, and I have pictures of some good bucks so I ain't wanted to kill anything I've seen yet.

I've seen most of mine in Montgomery County, seen a few here in H.C. behind the house, but not much going on here.

I know how you feel... I missed one during bow season, and I missed another one today with my muzzleloader.
We'll both get better luck...at least I hope we do.

im feeling bummed to. If i dont get it done this year it will be my 13th season without getting a decent buck lol

well, I say this every year that I am usually sitting on 0 kills until gun season, but by the end of the year for the past 3 years I have ended up with over 5 deer per year....just have to be in the right spot at the right time...

Dude you've seen more deer from the stand so far this season than I have in many many seasons combined. Don't feel bummed cause of that. I wish I could say I've seen 14 bucks in 8 or 9 years.

I went this a.m. and p.m., told the wife, anything that walks by me today is gonna die. I didn't see a single deer. Lucky for him, the neighbor who "strays" over on me, didn't show up today either. lol

i would say your having a successful year! nothing to be bummed about! take you a cam corder with you, start recording those deer and it will ease the pain of not killing anything! works for me! i get a thrill of trying to get a "shot" with the cam corder as i do when i shoot them. if they get close enough i even try to take a still pic of them! adds to the excitment! good luck!

Well atleast you all are seein deer, i have been out almost every weekend this year (royal blue,catoosa, and others ) and have only seen one spike (in catoosa) oh and one coyote tonight.
its hard when youre changin from mule deer to white tails and you dont know the area very well. and its even harder when youre set up over all kinds of rubs and tracks
