This is an awesome time to be in the woods but it is going to be a warm week. How is this warm weather going to affect your hunt this week?

Heck no baby! Im Catoosa bound wednesday!! Im in the stand all day for 3 days! Gonna let all the mid-day, climb out of the stand for lunch hunters keep em on their feet!

Today while driving west on I90 between O'Hare and Dubuque Iowa I saw some bucks chasing does out in a cut corn field. The warm front didn't seem to bother them much.
I seldom let the weather (other than wind direction) affect where or how I hunt. Some stands are better than others in certain prevailing winds. During rifle season, on very windy days, I love to still hunt. The wind will cover a lot of sound and movement. I used to only still hunt on the way to or from my stands, but in the last three years I've taken 4 deer while purposely still hunting in areas with no permanent stands set up.

I'm just gonna have Less clothes to wear is the only change I see. Maybe bringing my wet weather clothes to LBL for Saturday will be one other minor change.
