Watched a doe still letting her twins nurse today. Seeing numerous other does with fawns still in tow. Shouldn't they be weened already? Anyone else seeing this?

This past Friday i was fixing on shooting a big doe when her little one took a long drink. The little one had no spots but nursed for about 2min. I them pass. Sounds strange to me too.

when they start to come into heat they will run the fawns off & no more free lunch,killed a doe yesterday morning that had 2 big yearlings with it,nipples were dry but still had a small amount of milk in her sack.a lot depends on how late they were droped more than likely

saw it this morning, a doe and her twins were feeding in the fields, one of them decided to nurse and the other quickly followed suit. but she quickly kinda did a half mule kick and they went on about there business

Killed a doe sat afternoon that still had milk, but no fawn in tow. She was with another doe that had two fawns.
