Well, overall it was a good day. My bro brandon saw 8 or 9 deer, a couple were younger bucks. I saw about 8 doe and a scrub. Neither one of us thinks the rut is near full swing yet. I am predicting that it will get much much better in a week or so. Anyone else in south williamson or maury county agree? Or was it just our spot?

Saw a nice 7 pt cruising today out of synch with all the does that moved closer to sunset. I sprayed some estrous and he came by within 10 minutes.

I am hunting here in south maury and it was on today my friend killed a seven in tow I saw a spike make a scrape and two fawns separated from there mom midday activity also. Hard to define the difference between the prerut and actual but def. A great time to be in the woods. Deer are moving not sure if the big boys are but they are close

I have also noticed that the fawns are not running with the does right now. I expect that next weekend will be good.

I'm thinking about one more week here in the Franklin area and we'll be in full swing. It is just about time to get it done. I am seeing better activity with bucks right before dark over here.

I'm hunting in Liepers Fork, found first scrapes today which were not there yesterday. Saw 3 young bucks and 10 does but didnt notice any rut activity. Guess it depends where you are in the county.

I killed an old buck chasing a doe Saturday. Saw several bucks chasing. I'd be in the woods every chance you get
