So i'm napping in my stand listenin to the radio on my mp3 player when i'm awakened by a russling in the leaves. 3 does coming toward me "sweet!" 2 were nice sized and one looked pretty young. Watched them for 20min or so and one of the shootables ends up in the doom zone and i squeeze the trigger, the muzzle loader answered with "pop", nothing put primer.
To my surprise that didn't spook the does to bad but while trying to put another primer in without bringin attention to my self they wander off. Waited a few minutes and decided to go after them but got nothing.
Got out of the woods aimed at a tree and pulled the trigger BANG!!! stupid thing went off without a hitch.

That's my mornin, how was yours?

At least yours got in the "doom zone" my 5 just milled around 80-90 yds away and wouldn't come in, but at least we saw some. I know what you mean though. I hate when the ML has a malfunction and it cost you though.

went back to the same spot behind my parents house this afternoon and saw funny lookin little fella. He might have weighed 70 lbs and had 6-7ish inch spikes. His spikes were as long as his head.

Also heard a new sound that havn't heard in the woods, sort of a cough sound like a cat hacking up a hair ball but louder. it would do it adout 5 times then a few minutes later do it again. Funny thing is my dad just called at 10:05 and said the dogs were barking and he could hear something back in the woods, he then described the same sound. didn't even mention it to him earlier. he's lived on the same hill side for 55+ years and said he's never heard it before.

i say it's a sasquatch.

any ideas?

No way! I heard that same sound today. Seriously that's weird. Ok. I had 2 doe in easy kill zone from my ameristep chairblind, was holding out for a buck. So, at the end of the day about 5 doe come into this field for 45 minutes I watched them. Still no buck! Frustrated, I blow two grunts and the head doe marches right over 10yds from my blind and stomps on the ground. I should have pulled the trigger!
