So I got our there this morning, sure enough there were some decent lulls in the wind. Jumped 2 on the way in that blew at me like I was a hunter or something.
Got up in the stand, and right at daylight had 2 small does come in to the left. Wouldn't have shot them even if I could have seen them clearly in the peep sight.
Then about 8 AM, I got bored, so I logged on to here on my Droid.
And after about 2-3 minutes of playing on here,I looked up, and THERE SHE IS! A mature doe walking broadside at 25 yards.
She didn't see me, but the deer were on the move this morning, and by the time I stood up and grabbed my bow, she was out of the shooting lane and into some thick brush.
I hope you are all happy with yourselves!

Apparently, if you had just taken a poop in your shooting lane, she would have stood there broadside sniffing it long enough for you to finish up your text message, light up a cigarette, casually grab your bow and take the shot

lol I didn't see squat, and neither did my neighbor that I've been texting all morning. Conditions were perfect here. I did gather some information that is really going to help out tomorrow though.

Not too much movement this morning in West Williamson. Saw some does on the move at daybreak but not much in the way of bucks. Had a whopper of 2 1/2 year old come through last night and he was at least 20" inside spread 10 pt with split g1's. I sure wish he was a little bit older!
