If I understand correctly, it's a climber. I use one all the time and always set it up in the dark. Take your time walking in, take your time setting up, and take your time climbing.

Almost everyone that uses a climber goes up about a half hour-an hour before legal shooting time that I know of. Again I'd say just electric tape your noisy parts and let er rip! Good luck.

Take it in and set it up in that area in the dark in the morning. You won't spook the deer doing that! I had a 7 point during archery season walk up within 10 yards of me in the afternoon while I was setting my climber up for the evening hunt. Never knew I was there. And the doe I shot opening day of archery walked by just as I had got to hunting height in the climber....didn't even have my bow haulded up yet. As long as you take your time and don't bang things around you'll be fine. I also use a red light when I'm setting up and climbing, not as easily seen as a white light, but I've heard green is better.

I would DEFINITELY put it up tomorrow afternoon if possible. That is the best scenario. You can find a good tree with good shooting lanes. My second choice would be to go in the morning and hang it and hunt out of it. I always hang my climbing stand before daylight, but I know the exact tree I am going to hunt out of.

I don't think you have any more chance of bumping deer by hanging the stand than you do of the walk in alone. Walk in, hang, hunt!

Heres what works for me. I wait til i can see well enough to be quiet. I walk to my area and pick my tree and slowly start climbing. There is no telling how many times i have just finished climbing when deer come by. Just do it slowly and as quiet as possible.
