Just want some input and hopefully some new ideas.

I am going to be heading up to Camden on Saturday morning for the MZL opener.

I hunt a 90 acre farm up there, but just found out last night that the homemade deerstand I hunted out of last year was taken down. So It looks like I will be taking my climber with me.

I know the general area where I want to hunt, but how would some of you handle this situation?

Should I go in super early and try to find a tree? Should I wait until daylight?

I would go early. Find a tree close to where you always hunted or use the same tree if it was a good place.

Also, I could potentially head up there in the middle of the day tomorrow... I had just planned on being in the woods at that time hunting.

Just be quite. Put noise dampeners on your parts that rattle. Such as eletrical tape foam and stuff like that. Get there early enough to take your time to be quite.

Might be better to find you a place to sit on the ground for the morning hunt and then put up the stand after your morning hunt. I have put up stands in the dark in the morning and never had any luck.

The reason I was saying that is because he's hunted it before in the permanent stand. He should know what it looks like in there.

Set it up tomorrow. You may even find a "better" location.

Given that you have the option to put it up tomorrow, I would do just that. Otherwise I would worry about making too much noise trying to put it up the morning of the hunt.
