Do you lease, own, go door to door or hunt public ground? I have a huge desire to go and hunt but just dont have the time. I have seen the deer in IL I worked for an outfitter up there one summer. I also have seen what is in N IN...my gf's dad owns 2000 acres including a hunting lodge and I flat dont have the time to get up there and capitolize on it. Just wondering how you do it. The cost of a license in IL scares me! Thanks and good luck to all that travel this year and be safe.

I lease two small places in Southeastern Indiana. One is 80 acres and the other is 120 acres. They are both tremendous properties to hunt.
It is getting more and more rare in Indiana to find places by going door to door.
It is even getting rare to find a good deal on a gentleman's agreement style lease. I have been lucky to hold on to my lease for 10 years.
There is some pretty good hunting on public land up here in Indiana. I have seen guys have good results. I have never tried it myself, other than special draw hunts in state parks and military ground.
