My liquor store only gets 3 or so bottles of George T Stagg every six months. That WAS a good day!
Yeah, my local place only got 6 bottles this Fall. I had them reserve one for me 2 months ago. They had 3 of them on reserve and the other 3 sold the same day they received them.

Poser, you're right "It's only $10", but it's only $10 to the processor too. He could've waived that fee & gotten future business because he did you right. Instead, he's making sure he gets the $10 & running the risk of you not using him again. It's absolutely none of my business, but my deer would've been coming home with me. To each his own, good Luck & God Bless!
Good point. I didn't really think much about it at the time. I was really concerned about tracking him with no help after a rainy night. Then it took me almost two hours to get him back to the truck with the rain moving out and the temps on the rise. I went to the closest processor I knew of, was just relieved to close the book on the recovery process and I was 1.5 hours from home. In a different situation, I would have paid more attention. Like I said, oh well... I didn't think much of that detail until you brought it to my attention.
I should really be doing my own processing, but I was able to spend the rest of the afternoon working, which I hadn't done much of since 11:00 am the previous morning.
