I have a 4 year old soon to be 5 and need to purchase some clothes for him. Do you guys recommend buying a set of coveralls or a coat with a set of bibs...

the coat with a set of bibs is twice as much but wondering what you guys that have been down this road would recommend...

thanks

Buying for kids is an expensive pain. The clothing is just as expensive as adult stuff and only lasts a year or two as they grow.

I decided to steer away from name-brand camo and just bought regular camo coat and bibs. Bought earth-toned sweatshirts, etc...

If you're hunting in a blind it don't matter a whole lot- just bring a sleeping bag for them to wrap up in.

wife bought bibs and matching jacket last month for both boys, 2 & 5 for under $20 total. Two words, "consignment sale". She hits one up in the spring and one in the fall.

I recommend a set of walls camo bibs and coat. It's inexpensive. The camo works. And they are warm.

Somebody on here is affliated with a group that has camo clothes for kids. Like a place to send your kids clothes after they outgro them. Then the next person with a kid can take them over. I can't remember who it was. Maybe ask Crappie-Luck.

My boys have had both and they tend to like the Coveralls better. I myself like the Bibs and jacket better.

I got bibs and a jacket for my 4 year old, and always bring a sleeping bag along too.
