I don't keep up very well, and this has probably been commented on. You can get your personal harvest records (have to have your TWRA ID number) off TWRA website, going back to 2005. Pretty cool.
I have commented on here a couple times about the first week of December being excellent hunting in my neck of Unit L. I'm retired, I hunt a lot of days and I'm pretty picky even though I don't consider myself a "trophy hunter".
Of the decent bucks I've taken in the past 5 years, half have come during that week, in spite of the fact that I put in many more days hunting in October and November. Again, this just my experience which is limited to the same two farms year after year.
