The info I received from TWRA is that he did actually shoot the buck with his crossbow but he was hunting over bait (corn). He had no hunting license and because he was a convicted felon, the rifle he had in his truck was a no-no. So he was charged with illegally possessing a firearm, hunting without a license and hunting over bait. Judge Weber McCraw will preside over the case.
All of which, in my mind, makes him a sorry pos.
