Has anyone posted the story on here of the potential state record buck that was recently poached with a rifle over corn by a felon, who was later arrested by TWRA officer Ty Inmon? I have heard the story from two people and figured it would be on here somewhere, but I cant find it.

I think that was posted, did he shoot it with a rifle and then have his picture made with an arrow in the deer's antlers?

I didnt hear that part. I just heard he shot it with a rifle, then rammed an arrow through the injury. Then he asked Ty to come by and score it for him. The story then goes that Ty was suspicious and told the hunter it would be a state record and that he needed to see where the deer was killed so he could record the necessary information. The hunter took Ty to the location, where there was corn all over the ground and the rifle was still in the stand. The hunter was also a felon, in posession of a firearm. He was arrested. I also heard the deer scored 204". Just trying to confirm the details...and see a pic if there is one.

Great! Thanks for the links guys. That guy goes to court in a couple of days. Hopefully he will serve some significant time for doing what he did.

I was told he shot it with a bow but was in posession of a firearm. Also hunting without a license and over bait. This came from a friend that knows the arresting officer.

If this is true I am anxious to see how many charges actually "stick" in court and also what happens with the "deer head" once the dust settles.
