Aaaahhhhhh, leveractions are great! They are the best choice for stillhunting. Bolt guns get all accolades but they are so run of the mill. My first deer was taken with a leveraction and many, many more since then. I do hunt with singleshots and occasionally an old Winchester Model 10 401 Self-loader but my heart belongs to the leveraction.

I've tried albeit unsuccesfully to switch my wife to a bolt action but she refuses to put her 336C down.
For some reason I just can't get comfortable with it while shooting hers.

Thanks guys! Shot it yesterday and all it had on it was the 4x scope the guy sold it to me with. Pulled a 3" group at 60 yards speed shooting it. ME LIKES!

336C was my first deer rifle. I gave it to my brother years ago.

He won't give it back. The creep.

Nice. Good little guns. Great wood on that one. I would strongly recommed getting a low power scope for it and mounting it in low or extra low rings for better head placement. Great walnut on that one

Yep, a 3X9 or 2.5X10 and keep.it turned all the way down until you need have to shoot way out.
If you're wanting this gun for the thick stuff, just about any bullet will do. If you want this gun to perform out past 200 yds., you need to try some LeverRevolutions.

So I've target shot the gun a few times now, and I gotta ask... Why is everyone reccomending the scope be so low to the reciever? I'm using the raised rings it came with and it seems okay to me... Just a comfort suggestion or a performance thing or what?
