Bow Hunted Chickasaw hard most of the day saturday didn't see anything and walked a ton all day Sunday and only saw 2 deer standing on the side of the road on my way out of the park. Never found hardly any sign. Found one very small rub and the acorns are falling like rain everywhere. Anybody here know the park really well have any suggestions?

I live about 3 miles from the park, have been here all my life. Lots of mast, however, if I was going to hunt the park I would look around the outer edges near some of the farm land on the edge of the park. Most of this will be toward the Silerton side, which is the south side of the park. Years ago, the park had tons of pressure during gun season, but now it seems to get very little. It does have a good population of deer, and you could find a good one, if lucky. Good luck this season.

I hunted chickasaw some a few yrs ago and hardly ever saw deer. Found trails, rubs, etc. but didnt see any deer. Gave up and startd hunting other public land where I had better luck. Good luck though, hope you can find a good spot. My bro in-law is a student at FHU, one of his friends killed a spike out there a couple weeks ago.
