Actually, due to the lawsuit over Scentloks claims, an independent testing group proved carbon clothing DOES work, and it CAN BE recharged by a home dryer.
Do you happen to have a link to this info? I am sincerely interested on any info on the subject.

I believe it works and I have used it at least 8 or more yrs now..... Heres a question for the guys that doesn't believe it works..... Why does it smell just like all the scent eliminating sprays when you take it out of the dryer and put it on.....????? If you believe that stuff works (sprays) then why doesn't the clothes work.........
I always love the ones that say "Hunt the wind".... Most of these guys don't hunt on the side of a mountain.... I try but it will blow in every direction just in a few hours...

I quit using the scent lok stuff. Most of it is heavy, it doesn't insulate, it's expensive, whatever scent you get on the outside isn't controlled (even if it does help with body odor) and there are too many things that go uncovered (like breath) for me to believe it can be even marginally effective. I have a bunch of it, but it stays in the bags these days.
That said, I think any steps you take to control scent will help reduce the chances of getting busted and raises the odds on getting a shot. So I wash in the scent free stuff, wash my gear in sport wash, spray on a ton of scent elimination spray and do my best to put stands down wind of where I think the deer will show.
And with all of that, I still have some deer smell me that shouldn't (wind currents in hollers being what they are) and some deer that don't react, even close downwind. It's a crapshoot.

Heres what one judge found: “We felt the statements used by Scent Lok in their ads were clear and had only one meaning; that the product controlled all human odor, not just reduced some odor,”
As you can imagine, the results disagreed in all but one key area: both plaintiff's and defendant's attorneys and scientists agreed that carbon-embedded clothing cannot eliminate 100% of a hunter's odor.
In this case "eliminate" was the key decision point- the court ruled that the word "eliminate" meant "a complete removal" the same way a claim to remove roaches from a home would mean "all roaches" not just some.
Some of the ads, however, went on to use phrases such as "complete scent elimination" "scent free" "works on 100% of your scent (100% of the time)" and "odor is eradicated".
In the court's eyes, those claims were false and misleading - beyond any test of reasonableness.
Other ads, however, used enough language to qualify the claims they made. The Court tossed a claim for a declaratory judgement from the hunters on those advertisements.
So, you might ask, do the findings in the case prove that clothing really can't mask human scent?
Short answer, no. What it case has done is reiterate and reinforce the application of common sense to advertising messages - and consumer purchases.
Does this mean that these products don't work??? "NO" It just means that there ads were misleading. I think most of us know you can't control all human ordor..... This doesn't say that the clothes can't reduce the ordors.... If that was the case these items probably wouldn't still be on the market....

i have used scent spray one time, and wasnt impressed, so i havent used it again, but just because i dont use it dosn't mean i wont be as successful as a guy that does. where i hunt the wind dosnt swirl very much at all. i have just learned to hunt the wind, and i have become a big believer in it, if the wind isnt right for the stand that i want to hunt that day, i will not hunt it i will hunt a different one

I have some of the carbon clothing, not sure on how effective it is and it doesn't insulate very well. I find myself getting colder when I use it. I don't think people should run out and buy it. I do think however that you should take steps to eliminate scent. Wash clothes with neutral detergent. Keep clothes in a scent free bag or bin. Take a shower with neutral soap and use neutral deodorant. Spray down when you get in the field and when you get in the stand. I feel that it increases your chances dramatically of not getting busted. As far as breath goes once I get in the stand I just hold it the whole time.
As opposed to the hunter that might wash his clothes with Tide, take a shower with Irish Spring and Pert Plus. Doesn't use any spray. How are the deer not going to smell you?
As far as hunting the wind goes I have stands set up for certain winds. In reality when I'm in the hardwoods or down in the swamp (where the big boys live) deer come from every direction at any given time. So when the wind isn't exactly perfect why not give yourself a fighting chance by taking some of these precautions.

i think that scent isnt a big deal but u dont need to be just walk around your stand to long,but i have tried scent killer and other scect stuff the deer are still going to smell u i just think that scentlocker cloths arent needed because if your walk to your stand some scent is going to be put of from body oder
