Had this little guy come in yesterday evening with about half a dozen does. I noticed he was acting funny and could hear him making a "weezing" noise when he got close. Then I saw that he had been shot, whatever it was had passed through both sides and was leaking out some nasty goo. I know he might have survived but he was just acting pitiful, not sure if he would have lived or not and I had to put him down. I hate to see an animal suffering that way. The top hole is the entrance to the nasty wound, bottom is my entrance on a quartering away shot, it exited his offside shoulder and he went about 30 yards. Yes I killed a young buck $\:D$ Hunting my property in Morgan County has done me in, I cant kill any more antlerless deer with a bow the rest of the season now, its so easy to kill them there. We really need to be allowed more than 2 antlerless!

Good for you, thats a nasty looking hole. I don't think he would have survived looking at that, but you never know. I think you did the right thing.
