WIND, WIND, WIND! OR THERMALS, THERMALS, THERMALS!!!
Whew! I was afraid you were going to try to sell us on carbon clothing or something!!!
Nice job! Probably the reason a buck did not show up was because one just did not show up! Because SOMETIMES, bucks just don't show up. And if you saw THIRTEEN does, I am SURE that one or two were every bit as MATURE as ANY buck out there!
Congrats!

Sometimes you just gotta use those 4-wheelers. They are a great tool and there is a right and wrong way to use them huning.

102 If you ever hear me pimpin' carbon clothing, or any other scent reduction stuff, just shoot me.
I do normally wear fresh clothing each day, but I wanted to make a couple points which had been discussed quite a bit on here lately.
1. Find a dominant tree and you will know exactly where the deer will be. Then climb a tree on the downwind side. It really doesn't matter what you smell like if you are downwind. Have you ever smelled a coyote? They seem to be doin' pretty well despite the lack of scentloc fur.
2. Depending on the property you are hunting, sometimes it takes an ATV to adequately scout it and hunt it. Sometimes it doesn't. Every situation is unique, but in my case, I have to use an ATV. I still put in plenty of walking time, but I can't walk everywhere. It has nothing to do with lazyness, or physical condition. It is really more about available time.
And yes, many of the does that were within 20 yards of me were older more mature does that never knew I was there. I agree that the reason a buck didn't show up was because one just didn't show up. It happens!

GREAT POST PH!!!
I love the comment on "scentloc fur"...FUNNY!
All too often hunters are too willing to buy the next gimmick to come along hoping that it will help them kill a deer. Only to find out it was just that...a gimmick.
There is NO SUBSTITUTE for HARD work. In life, wether scouting or making a living. AIN'T NOTHING FREE!!!
