Ive always done the descenting thing and not wearing my boots such. This year I have focused as well on hunting stands with the correct wind. Its made a big difference...Im a huge believer in scent control and watching the wind.

You don't need scent control or camo clothing. Scentlok doesn't work.

Just do your homework hunting rub lines, scrapes, and transition areas and you will do fine.

Actually, due to the lawsuit over Scentloks claims, an independent testing group proved carbon clothing DOES work, and it CAN BE recharged by a home dryer.

If a deer sees you, and you freeze, they will take a good long time to measure you up and often times, will go back to feeding.

If they smell you, they are gone...SEE YA!

Ditto ! Had three pin me in the tree but after looking me up & down went on about their business but after a while the wind started swirling and one about blew me outta the stand !

Not needed - if you're down wind. If you're up wind it doesn't matter, cause they are going to smell you regardless.

I think it can do what they claim to a point, but there are so many variables, any scent on your bow/gun?I sweat a lot around my neck, how will scent loc keep that from coming out, what about your breath?

Thats the key,in fact I believe Ive become obsessed with hunting the right place with the wind in mind, but,Ive seen at least one deer, and usually many more ,on every trip this year, about 10 times out.

To reduce sweating, walk slower and and dont rush yourself to the stand. To reduce stink breath, chew on a cedar twig or brush your teeth with a toothpaste that has less minty smell.

I agree with BSK. Either you smell and dont see many deer or you reduce scent and see more deer! It works for me and its really not that hard to do!
