Opening day of ML and Gun season 2 hrs before sunrise to head off any intruders. They see my truck and pass the area by. The rest of the season try in enter 30 minutes before first light.

20-30minutes. Unless I am hunting my ridge which at 45 years is too dangerous{steep} for me to climb in the dark.

I've heard hunters complain that they dislike walking through the dark woods. I'll be the first to admit that it can sometimes be spooky, but I love it.

O I agree it can be spooky some times. I used to have this spot where I had to walk right beside a late 1800 early 1900 graveyard that was spoooky

No. Why? I do get very bored and figity sitting and waiting an hour or more on legal shooting light\time.

It depends on where I'm hunting. If I'm hunting a bedding area I'd like to be there an hour before light. If I'm hunting feeding or transition areas, I go in right at daylight. I have walked up on two bucks this year that were in food plots on my way to the stand. In both cases I was able to wait until the deer moved on naturally without spooking them. I hunt my way to the stand and have killed several before I ever reach it.
