Got to take the wife hunting for only her second time because childcare is tough. She didn't think to blow-dry her hair before we left. Ugh! She was miserably cold. At about 8 o whispered to her "we can leave whenever... I know your freezing". About an hour later she said let's go. I packed us up. About 15 yards away there was my single
A blind that I had been wanting to re position. I pulled all 4 stakes rustling it around on the dry leaves. Then I used a good sized rock to pound the stakes back in. Could not have possibly been more noisy without yelling.
I crawled out of the blind and looked around for the folding chair she had been using. Meanwhile she's standing 30 feet away in the middle of a rock bed with no concealment. As I picked up the chair I looked up the hill in front of us. There stood a nice 6 point. Je had no clue we were even there. Don't ask me how!
I motioned her to come towards me. She started my way. He continued to just brouse. Then he u turned... O motioned her to go the other way so she cod get a shot.. She saw him but never could get a shot.
It took me 2 years to see my first buck in the woods! She was shaky but did an awesome job.I'm so excited she got to see one!

I thought maybe Oprah came along with you guys. 
I am glad your wife got to see a buck. My wife is going to give hunting a try for the first time this year. I hope she enjoys it.

Your absolutely right rowdy! She wants a compound now... She's hooked!
I hope your wife has a blast green valley. Just do your best to set her up to at least see some and experience the racing heart and I'm sure she will love it!

She wants me to buy her those battery heated socks now and says she's gonna do the scent free shower the night before... That should help.

don't waste your money on those socks. some good wool socks and a good pair of boots will be better.
and congrats on getting her in the woods. BOWdacious has been hunting for several years now and is still looking for her 1st buck.
